A bruised fetlock means the popular galloper will miss the Saint-Clould clash with Treve in late June. It is not serious but will curtail his trackwork. So definitely no Royal Ascot either.

I don't think this is the first setback for him this year. I wonder if the venerable gelding's body has reached that point where he'll never get back to 100% again. Maybe time for a well-deserved and pampered retirement?

I do hope he gets back to fitness. It's not often we see flat horses continue as long as he has and it's a pleasure to see.

On another subject, all I can really say is 'Oh dear'. Carche will understand. I've seen some of the front pages of the Australian press, I'm sure ours will be much happier in the morning. I'm not quite sure I've seen as bad a performance from Australia. I'm obviously delighted but it is a shame that a national team that was so good and dominant a few years back coud just disintigrate. I don't have Sky so couldn't watch but was listening on the radio and couldn't quite believe my ears.

Nono Wth smiley: eek smiley: embarassed x 1,000.

Not since the 1800's have we scored so low. What a disgraceful performance by an international side at Test level. What happened after the Second Test? I had the TV on in the background last night while I was pottering around the house. I literally stopped whatever it was I that I was doing at the time, turned to the TV and went "huh" when I heard "Australia 7 for 33". I thought maybe I heard wrong. Nope. When I heard rousing applause soon after I thought maybe we were all out. No, turned out we finally reached 50 runs and the predominantly English crowd were either being very generous or sarcastic (most likely the latter). The commentators were as mystified and stunned as I, and I vouch every person watching from the comfort of their lounge room were just the same unless they were a British ex-pat.

I dunno how Australia can come back from this. They've definitely hit rock bottom. They say the only way is up but how do you after this?

This Test series is all yours, snappit. You're welcome to it.
